It all started with The Dive Connection back in 2001 with the aim of getting people who have always wanted to try diving into the water.

In the Spring of 2003, we developed into permanent premises in Portsmouth so we could provide additional services to our customers, such as equipment sales and hire, used equipment sales, servicing and air/nitrox fills. Most importantly, we still aim to offer the same friendly and personalised service that our customers have come to expect and enjoy.

In December 2007 another watersports training venture was established, Adventure College (Kayak), and The Dive Connection along with our charter boat Wightdiver became part of what we are now, Adventure College Ltd, a multi activity water sports training centre.

We now offer training in Diving, both recreational and technical, Kayak and Canoe, and RYA training. We also still have our own hard dive charter boat, Wightdiver, which runs out of Portsmouth.

We believe we are Portsmouth's friendliest and premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre offering the full range of dive experiences and diving courses, from Try Dives to Learn to Dive courses, and onwards to Advanced, Specialty and professional levels.

We offer a variety of paddle training courses, from beginner onwards. With the latest boats, superb equipment and the most enthusiastic coaches, you can be sure of a warm welcome and a great time when you take to the water with us, so why not give us a call or pop in for a chat and see what we can offer you!

And if all that wasn't enough, we are registered with the RYA to offer power boat, VHF radio, and diesel engine maintenance courses.

Adventure College has a well stocked shop based at Hilsea Lido for all your dive and kayak equipment needs, and if its not on the shelf, we have a vast number of suppliers available to us for all the activities we offer, so we will be able to get what you want.

For diving, air and nitrox fills to 300 bar, along with trimix fills at the best prices around together with equipment servicing are coupled with true customer service.

We also run regular dive and kayak trips around the UK and overseas destinations catering for all levels of experience, so there's something for everyone.

We offer honest, friendly and impartial advice for whichever of our activities you're interested in.

Sam
Sam is our main man when it comes to Canoe and Kayaking. He is a BCU Coach and has worked in outdoor sports for years. His teaching style being very relaxed but very comprehensive. Sam can teach a wide range of BCU course and when not teaching can be found leading paddles with our club or diving.
Kevan
Uncle Kev. Kev can be found around the centre and is both a keen kayaker and a diver, very enthusiastic about paddling. He also leads our RYA school and teaches our radio and engine courses. Once on the water, there's no stopping him.
Steve
Well, what can I say about young Steve? He joined us in 2009 and was a lucky find for us. Knows everything about paddling, and has been there and done it too.
Lawrence
A genuinely odd paddler, Lawrence is often found messing about in boats and has a particular fondness for rivers. Although he favours kayaking he has been found coaching in both canoes and kayaks over the last four years. He is also fond of writing in the third person and responds well to 'flo', 'hey you' and cake.
Tasha
Tasha can be found on the water, or under the water sometimes. the girl does like to roll her boat, and has even been known to try it on dry land. A very talented coach she just has a way of getting things over in ways that are easy to understand.

Roy
Roy has been diving for over ten years and is an experienced boat skipper and PADI Instructor. With over 3000 sea miles, he has lots of experience within the Solent and its surrounding waters. He has worked in the UK and Red Sea as a PADI Instructor and is qualified to dive CCR Trimix.
